the Importance of Grandpa.

this is a short tale of gramps & julius.

#1. they like to read together. julius generally likes to eat what grandpa is reading, and grandpa not only tolerates, but i would venture towards enjoys, the nibble marks on his magazines, books, papers, etc.

#2. grandpa teaches julius about world affairs. that page julius is about to turn? its the global section of the sunday ny times. as you can see, julius is developing what grandpa mike calls, focability.

#3. outdoor education. grandpa totes julius around, pretty much everywhere. in fact, if someone else (mother, grandma) comes near the baby carrier, he might just two hand face push you out of the way.

#4. music lessons. the set usually begins with old mcdonald, strives forward into mr. sun, and then finishes with "i love onions." julius prefers his music lessons in the nude, and grandpa doesn't mind the occasional pee-squirt on his ukulele.

it is love.
