in spite of ourselves, we'll end up sittin' on a rainbow.

summertime nostalgia

after 6 months (and a little bit) i just though i'd send a little reminder of the first day home...

Monday, December 6, 2010

one final thought of the evening.

how the hell are baby bums the friggin' cutest things on this planet!?

even if their bodies are chubby, their bums are flat and kind of wrinkled, just waiting for some chub to fill them in.

just wrinkly little bums. the cutest. goddamn charmers, those bums.

love k

p.s. i miss julius. please give him ten thousand kisses. and thank you for your message of hilarity and delight. i loved it and i saved it. and it will be listened to again very soon.

layover & love

layover in vancouver: 3 hours (approximately)
i'd rather be hanging out with you & the baby of the world.
absorbing the fall's rays: sun rays.

thank you for coming west. i'll be east, shortly i promise. xox

i found something special:

//Even now, all possible feelings do not exist, there are still those that lie beyond our capacity and our imagination. From time to time, when a piece of music no one has ever written or a painting no has ever painted, or something lese impossible to predict, fathom or yet describe takes place, a new feeling enters the world. And then, for the millionth time in the history of feeling, the heart surges and absorbs the impact//

(the history of love, of course)

boys, boys.

You make birthdays wonderful.

.em.

you are an incredible friend.
what a way to start a birthday.

a collection of birthday mementos
(recollections of magic, in fact)
yes, there may have been too much milk consumed.
but hey, it's switzerland? what the fuck.

a stream of birthday dance moves
starring, well, the one and only:
julius, baby of the world

background dancer:
"big sunnies em"
(as they call her)

who else could it have been, really?

and then, in the day to follow, the most extraordinary
packages wrapped in yarn and glitter,
enveloping
majestic beings from other lands
(no, i've never encountered mr.dean
but i am elated that he is now a part of my universe),
notes from far away,
love spilling through the seams,
a baby who can steal your heart
(into infinity and a bit beyond).

you have an ability to tip me over the edge
so that i fall,
end over end,
(down some kind of a rainbow waterfall)
into a turquoise pool of enormous smiles.

you have this effect - it's sort of what you seem to do.

thank you em. you absolutely turned my entire day into a whole series of magic tricks.
(and from so so far away)

how do you do it?
well, the imaginarium of course!

so, i give you a few treats from the farm.
the most wondrous place a gal' could go.

this here is sticks.
(em: meet sticks.)
he likes to herd. but im not a sheep, so it's pretty annoying.
he's sweet an'all.

this is mendel.
mendel was born in italy,
grew up in montreal
and now he's an organic farmer outside of savona.
he is absolutely one
of the sweetest people you
could ever even hope to meet.
the best.

to the left: soll, mendel's son.
he runs the show. he & mendel yell a lot.
still though, the best.

just a couple end of day sun rays
through the rye.
they've always been my favourite.

love always,
k.

p.s.
have a looksie loo at this little guy.
he works at the farm.
we recently discovered that he's connected to the ufos.
interesting times, em, interesting times.

p.p.s
phone call is in order?
what's going down on the eastern front?
i work until 7pm tomorrow night.
apres that?

xoxo and all the love,
all the way to michigan (far away).

this porch.

tonight is our last night of
listening to the crickets;
watching the fireflies;
sneaking into the night for a breath of fresh air;
of listening
to the little
coos and poos
of the baby
(of the world)
together.

i love this porch.
this pagoda.
perfect for hanging
balloons and baby's laundry.

i love this place.

p.s.
porches are important places,
of course.
