in spite of ourselves, we'll end up sittin' on a rainbow.

Secret (Duck) Cache

in the world of rubber duckies,
there are various fates one can have:

. a lone duck to any variety of children, either neglectful and loving.
. a pair of adult hopeful procreators who will inevitably wind up feeling inadequate due to mutual infertility issues (plasticity is never good for making duck babies)
. a full fledged flock (clearly the best)
. any combination of these things.
this household is thoroughly dedicated to the
creation, sustaining, and proliferation of happy duck families.

julius told me he wants to be a duck when he grows up.

hedgehog in the fog.

today was the foggiest day that i've ever been engulfed by in this desert town + this is one of my favourite little jigs on the internet right now = i thought it was perhaps the perfect day to send it your way.

i've never been any good at math but i hope that equation made some sense?

julius will like it too. i know he will. ty likes it a lot.

hopefully it's not foggy in philly right now? (or exit strategies could be tough? and plastic head dresses could be unavoidable and delightful, to say the least?)

i love you. je t'adore. te amo. ich liebe dich.
x.

your photos are beautiful

thank you for the below posts.
they brought me a massive attack of smiles, giggles, and a few
re-looks and re-reads
also, the phone picture was a dandy.

your monster of a baby is such a slice
of happiness and sheer delight. i am
counting the days until i can squeeze his
pudger cheeks.

love, k.

p.s. i gleaned this off a facebook wall:
i thought it appropriate to our brain waves, which seem
to fire off rapid successions of similar anxt and too much overthought.
perhaps we can refer to it in times of need? or just each other. that works too.

what do they say about crazy people and clouds? something, i am sure of it. xx

the Importance of Grandpa.

this is a short tale of gramps & julius.

#1. they like to read together. julius generally likes to eat what grandpa is reading, and grandpa not only tolerates, but i would venture towards enjoys, the nibble marks on his magazines, books, papers, etc.

#2. grandpa teaches julius about world affairs. that page julius is about to turn? its the global section of the sunday ny times. as you can see, julius is developing what grandpa mike calls, focability.

#3. outdoor education. grandpa totes julius around, pretty much everywhere. in fact, if someone else (mother, grandma) comes near the baby carrier, he might just two hand face push you out of the way.

(think will ferrel in old school when shoots himself with the tranquilizer dart and face pushes the small child at the birthday into the pool. (watch here for clarification: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yr0_iCohyhw)).

#4. music lessons. the set usually begins with old mcdonald, strives forward into mr. sun, and then finishes with "i love onions." julius prefers his music lessons in the nude, and grandpa doesn't mind the occasional pee-squirt on his ukulele.

it is love.

Fairy Tales et. Al

the word cannot be serendipitous that i am searching for.
............
failing miserably.
so instead, i will just use coincidental delights, as the coin words.

yesterday, before i had access to el interneto, i took these photos.

so while alice was ringing her photographic perfection bell (beautiful photos, kendra), rumpelstiltskin was frolicking around with the wild things, starting the wild rumpus.

ralph steadman meets alice.

i like this book and i found it in montreal. it's a version of Alice and Wonderland illustrated by Ralph Steadman (Hunter S. Thompson's go-to dude). Bored and alone, i photographed the book one day (also: i was avoiding term papers, sometime in April I think). after months of abandon, i found them today. quite appropriate for an alice and the imaginarium blog, i might say.

i don't think that i took any photos over christmas but i'll have to check. these might have to suffice.

it snowed here today, which was nice
but
mostly, i wish i was in vermont with you.
also, there were identity thieves living at telhellsa but i heard they got busted.

hugs and kisses. k-bomb
