dear emma,
amidst the dinner chaos, i heard your calls on my vibrating cell phone
(which is not supposed to be in my tip cup but very much was and usually is).
i would have loved nothing more than to leave that busy restaurant and answer your call.
instead, i had to keep on bussin' hussin' and cussin.'
once finished i tried to call you all the way, far away, in michigan but i did not get through.
instead, i came home to visions of a master newt and his emu!

The Octobular Adventures of Master Newt & his Emu

Carseats are but castles made of sand. When left to their own devices, the hilarious beasts drift towards Mr. Grasshopper's Coffee Shoppe. This phenomenon has been known to lead to dragonfly sex.
With green apples as overlords, reigning over both shit and peace, love, criss-crossing the atmosphere, cuddles her cocktails guardedly.

THE LEAF
once upon a time there was a world in which time (a nonspatial continuum in which events occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future) spent was classified by one circle around a magnificent ball of fire called the SUN.
depending on location, this circle (note circle, not square nor triangle) was further quartered into SEASONS. spring. summer. autumn. winter.
it is in this third quadrant that the inspiration for THE LEAF was found.
